I'm Scott Armistead, founder of ProGK Rehab—a consultancy dedicated to enhancing goalkeeper performance through effective rehabilitation, performance strategies, and long-term health for elite goalkeepers.
As a former age group international, semi-professional, and American Collegiate goalkeeper with over a decade of experience in professional soccer, I specialize in bridging the gap between sports rehabilitation, performance science, and the unique demands of the goalkeeper position.
I’ve collaborated with title-winning clubs in Major League Soccer, assisting top-level athletes in returning to play stronger, smarter, and more resilient. My mission with ProGK Rehab is to provide evidence-based, goalkeeper-specific rehabilitation strategies that prioritize longevity, performance, and the specific physical and cognitive challenges faced by goalkeepers.
Throughout my career, I’ve had the privilege of supporting elite athletes and goalkeepers across every level of the game—from academy prospects to international and veteran professionals. I’ve collaborated with top-tier organizations such as Seattle Sounders FC, FC Cincinnati, FC Tucson, and the Barça Residency Academy, helping teams achieve significant milestones like the MLS Supporters’ Shield, Conference Finals, and their first playoff appearances in club history. These experiences have profoundly shaped my approach to goalkeeper performance, rehabilitation, and performance therapy through ProGK Rehab, ensuring that every plan is both elite-level and individualized for long-term health.
No two goalkeepers—or goalkeeper coaches—are the same. At ProGK Rehab, I prioritize understanding the unique philosophy that shapes each goalkeeper’s playing style and the coaching methodology that supports their development. Whether it’s a high-line sweeper-keeper or a deep-positioned shot-stopper, I tailor rehabilitation and performance strategies to enhance goalkeeper performance while aligning with both the athlete’s physical needs and their tactical identity. By collaborating closely with goalkeepers, goalkeeper coaches, and rehabilitation professionals familiar with the individual, and embracing the nuances of different styles, I ensure every progression honors the keeper’s strengths, mindset, and long-term vision.
